Match #3: Loser #1 vs Loser #2 (Plate)

Match #4: Winner #1 vs Winner #2 (Cup)

Rules & structure

Here's everything you need to know!

9 overs each (standard 6x ball overs)

How many wickets fall is irrelevant – the opening batsmen will return to the crease if all out, and this will continue until all 9 overs have been bowled

BOWLERS:

Each member of the team – less the keeper - bowls one of the 9 overs

If anyone is unable / unfit to bowl, the captain can choose another bowler to bowl 2 overs max per game.

Similarly, the keeper can bowl one over (and be temporarily replaced)

Wides, Throwing & No Balls = 2 runs (not additional deliveries)

No (deliberate) throwing = 2 run penalty (as per wides); under-arm permitted

BATTERS:

A team’s batting order is to be submitted to the scorer before the 1st game

This order is then reversed for that team’s 2nd game i.e. batsman #1 in the first game will become Batsmen #10 in the second game

1st ball free hit, retire at 12, no LBW

Food & Drink

For the players, for fiends and family and general public alike

The Snitterfield Arms will be providing a BBQ - with burgers and pork rolls, and a veggie halloumi burger option too

A selection of chilled drinks will also be available from the pavilion.

All food and drink is to be paid for on the evening (club accepts cards or cash)

Our Charity.

We’re raising funds for a new pavilion at Snitterfield Cricket Club. The pavilion supports activities on the 6 acre village playing field; not just cricket and football but also community events. The existing pavilion is not fit-for-purpose. It is in a very poor state of repair. We can contribute to help create a new sporting hub for the village and surrounding areas.
